Meeting with local business owners
Joe recently discussed barriers to the success of small businesses with Michelle Lloyd, owner of Wireless MD, and Chris Sheehan, owner of Sheehan's Appliances. Energy costs, taxes and workers' comp insurance represent the three largest expenses to business. Joe proposes working with National Grid to help them reduce the cost of delivering energy and increase the efficiency of producing energy from renewable sources. He also believes that partnering with the state could help bring down the cost of sales taxes and workers' comp insurance.

Visiting with senior citizens at Canton Woods
Joe spoke with the senior citizens about the need for communication with voters. He promised that, if elected as a county legislator, he will communicate with his constituents on a regular basis, both to communicate his views and to receive their feedback. He feels that this is important in formulating a vision of the future, a vision that can be implemented using partnerships to provide efficiency and effectiveness.
